April 21, 2010--AlphaGenix announced that it will be moving its
corporate offices and regenerative medicine laboratory to the
Purdue Research
Park at
Purdue University in West Lafayette,
Indiana at the end of May. The Purdue Research Park (PRP) is an
excellent location for the expansion of AlphaGenix,
which will greatly benefit the company's product
development. PRP is one of the largest of its kind
in the U.S. and has 725 acres, 52 buildings, more than
160 companies and 3,100 employees in the park. This will allow
AlphaGenix to have access to Purdue's instrumentation and facilities and the
ability to initiate collaborations with Purdue researchers.

newly-constructed 21,000 square foot lab
facility. The facility includes
state-of-the-art wet lab space, a Class 100
cleanroom for manufacturing and scientific
research, a biosafety facility for the
containment of biosafety level 1-3 adventitious
agents and a light sensitive room for the
development of light sensitive biopolymers.
The company also utilizes a shared facility for
advanced scientific imaging and visualization.
The facility has private and open office space,
an advanced internet and telecommunications
network, security, conferencing and a library.

His appearance was sponsored by Sigma-Aldrich and was entitled "The effects of novel synthetic and natural biomaterials on in vitro cell systems". The presentation discussed the design and application of 3-dimensional biomaterials comprised of extracellular matrix components and peptide nanofibers that have cell culture and tissue engineering applications.
